Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a relationship between farmer, customer, the land and the seasons. Given this, at Purple Sol Farm we refer to our customers as “members.” Traditionally, customers are referred to as “shareholders,” however, I don’t think that sufficiently acknowledges the full scope of your investment in the enterprise. Rather than simply purchasing food, a customer becomes a “member” of the farm who receives a portion of the farm’s harvest. Because you are important members to my operation, I encourage you to come visit my enterprise anytime throughout the growing season. I’d be more than happy to show you where your vegetables come from.
